Financial support (~ 400 EUR per Awardee) for five PhD students aged less than 30 and within 7 years of obtaining their first degree at the end of the year of the Conference (2017) will be available through the IUVSTA-Elsevier Students Awards. Applicants must complete the Application Form in accordance to the Announcement Details and send to the Chair of  ECOSS-33 conference by e-mail: ecoss33sciprogram@regio10.hu.

Financial support (300 EUR per Awardee) will be given to three young researchers received their PhD degree not more that 6 years (or equivalent) prior to the application and present a contribution (oral preferred) at ECOSS-33 (Aug 2017), studying/working at an European Institution or in case of demonstrated economic need. The conference organizers offer a student participation for free or a regular participation for a reduced fee (50%) and gratis a Conference Dinner Ticket to the Winners of the Grant.  Applicants must complete the application form and further data listed in the announcement details which should be submitted to the Chair of ECOSS-33 conference by e-mail (ecoss33sciprogram@regio10.hu) not later than 2nd June 2017.

The ECOSS Prize (1.500 EUR), sponsored by SPECS will be awarded to the Best Oral Presentation. Eligible for the ECOSS Prize are the PhD students or postdocs who submitted their PhD thesis to the faculty not earlier than one year before the Conference (2017). Applicants must complete the application data listed in the annoucement details and submit to the Chair of the conference by e-mail: ecoss33sciprogram@regio10.hu

EPS Poster Prize is given to PhD student (defined by student registration) who prepares and presents the best poster of the conference. The EPS Poster Prize (500 EUR) is sponsored by European Physical Society. Applicant must submit an application form, an extended abstract (2 pages) of his/her presentation and a certification given by his/her supervisor confirming his/her eligibility by e-mail to the Chair of ECOSS-33 (ecoss33sciprogram@regio10.hu) not later than 2nd June 2017.

HVS Young Presenter Prize sponsored by the Hungarian Vacuum Society will be handed based on the decision of the Local Organizing Committee to the best young presenter from a Hungarian Research Institute or University. This award contains the financing the participation fee for the next ECOSS (prefered) or JVC conference and 150 EUR in cash. The awarded person should be a young researcher having a position in Hungary and should be 3 years before or after of her/his PhD exam. The winner should present at the Closing Ceremony. No application needs.
